Top 10 Best and Trendy Movie Picks of the year

Looking for some good movies on Netflix? best movies of all time? Romantic comedy movies?

Well, we got you covered!!

Here are the latest trendy Hollywood movies for you to add it to your weekend bucket list. Movies with action, drama, and suspense. You name it.

Indeed, the responsibilities of cinema and fashion have always been inextricably linked.

In that spirit, we’ve compiled a list of new and future series that, like Clueless, include timeless trends and gorgeous costume design that will delight any fashion-obsessed style fan.

1.ELVIS

Elvis Presley

Elvis Presley, the original King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, returns in Baz Luhrmann’s latest musical biopic.

Austin Butler plays the man himself, donning numerous iconic costumes, including the skintight leather suit with his characteristic Napoleon collar that he wore for a 1968 NBC special.

Over 9,000 costumes were created for this film, with 90 tailored specifically for Elvis (watch for some special Prada and Miu Miu in the show)! We can’t get enough of the attention to detail — especially the rhinestones.

2. NOT OKAY

Zoey Deutsch looks a-okay in this satirical black comedy on the impact of social media. Unsurprisingly, the film’s wardrobe pays homage to the enduring Gen Z fashion trend, Y2K.

It’s all in the details, from Deutsch’s ’90s blonde highlights that pop against her dark hair to TikTok-friendly fashion picks.

Spot the Prada Re-edition shoulder bag, various Reformation pieces, and colourful butterfly clips. Psst, you can cop the chunky jewellery she wears — it’s a curated collab with BonBonWhims.

Not Okay is now streaming on Disney+

3. PERSUASION

Movie on Netflix

Move over, Bridgerton, there’s a new show in town dishing up Regency-style entertainment.

While we enjoy witnessing Austen’s characters take unexpected turns on their path to love, we equally adore the Romantic Regency clothes featured in Persuasion.

Costume designer Marianne Agertoft devised numerous loose fitting, button up and collared styles for protagonist Anne Elliot (Dakota Smith) to express her intellect and pragmatism, drawing inspiration from modern female icons such as Patti Smith and Audrey Hepburn.

It’s a subtle but significant tone shift, dare we say a creative license in the name of feminism.

Persuasion is now available on Netflix.

4. BODIES BODIES BODIES

During a hurricane, seven young and wealthy friends throw a house party in a distant property.

What could possibly go wrong? Everything appears to be going wrong in this campy slasher film starring Pete Davidson and young Hollywood actresses like as Maria Bakalova and Chase Sui Wonders.

There may be a murderer among them, but these teenagers appear to be ready for a night out: Sophie (Amandla Stenberg) wears neon and plaid, while Alice (Rachel Senott) is decked out in glow stick accessories.

Talk about looking put-together for any occasion.

Bodies Bodies Bodies is now available on Netflix

5. MOONAGE DAYDREAM

Brett Morgen’s upcoming documentary on David Bowie will have you freaking out.

It’s the first film authorized by David Bowie’s estate, and it offers tons of previously unseen video and materials from Bowie’s private archives.

More of Bowie’s characteristic quirkiness — floral dresses, pointed boots, elegant suits, electric makeup, and more of everyone’s favorite gender-bending space oddity — is on the way.

6. MRS HARRIS GOES TO PARIS

Cleaning lady Ada Harris falls in love with her client’s haute couture Dior outfit in the third film adaptation of Paul Gallico’s 1958 novel Flowers for Mrs. Harris.

She sets off on a mission to purchase her own, altering the trajectory of her and the fashion house’s lives.

In this cinematic tribute to a fashion giant, be impressed by the painstakingly reproduced Dior garments, which range from stylish summer dresses to an immaculate floor-length bridal gown.

7. TRIANGLE OF SADNESS

A fashion influencer couple is asked to join other members of the one percent on a luxury yacht vacation, where they become trapped and chaos ensues.

The trailer for this year’s Palme d’Or-winning film by Swedish director Ruben Ostlund has already generated a lot of buzz, with models making disgruntled faces in a comic spoof of the fashion business.

Yacht fashion, including bikinis, slip dresses, and nautical patterns, is a recurring theme in this film, as is a hearty dose of social critique.

Put on your life vests and brace yourself for a fashion calamity that will have you laughing faster than you can say “Eat the rich!”

8. BLONDE

Marilyn Monroe is widely recognized as a classic Hollywood sex symbol, but beyond the sparkle and glamour is a more troubled and human individual.

Blonde reimagines Monroe’s darker side, led by Ana de Armas, who spent three and a half hours daily changing into the blonde bombshell.

Of course, it recreates some of Monroe’s most iconic ensembles, such as her pink silk satin gown in Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend and her minimalist off-screen wardrobe.

Blonde is available on Netflix

9. DON’T WORRY DARLING

With a cast that includes Harry Styles, Florence Pugh, Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine, and Gemma Chan, we doubt the acting will be a problem.

This film, set in a 1950s experimental village, is intended to present viewers with some suburban housewife-meets-Slim Aarons aesthetics. Floral printed dresses, pearl earrings, and perfectly coiffed hair spell perfection.

While the community’s wardrobe, like everything else, appears lovely, there’s a lot more going on beyond the surface…

10. End of the Road

A recently widowed Brenda, drives her family cross-country to start a new life. In the New Mexico desert, cut off from help, they must learn to fight back when they become the targets of a mysterious killer.
